Steven Frischling, aka: Fish, Photographer, Traveler, Blogger, and Owner FishFoto Worldwide, joins host Scott Sheppard for a lively discussion about his work and tips for traveling with your photo gear. Steven has been a photographer for most of his life, working as a photojournalist with local newspapers and honing his skills with input from other photographers covering similar assignments. Over time, he built his business as a freelance photographer covering editorial, commission work, and weddings across the globe. His normal workdays consist of covering 3-4 countries, and several time zones in 2-3 days.
Steven explains his favorite gear, accessories, lighting, and travel cases he has tested which provide him a range of shooting options, don’t weigh him down, and provide easy access to the equipment so he never misses the perfect picture opportunity. Steven also runs a few No Jetlag Workshops throughout the year coined "Come Fly with Fish", that tests the limits and stamina of photographers and teaches them how to be efficient while on the road. These sessions are fast paced, cover multiple countries, and provide a guided tour of some of the world’s most beautiful places.
His extensive travel schedule and experiences inspired him to publish a popular blog "Flying with Fish" that offers candid survival tips and information for travelers who shoot or are simply dedicated "road warriors".
