Josh Weisberg, Director, Microsoft Rich Media Group joins host Scott Sheppard live from the Microsoft Event Center in Redmond, WA to kick off this year’s Pro Photo Summit. Josh explains that the main point of the annual industry conference is to share ideas and discuss the most important issues in three main areas; technology, policy, and photography.
This event, unlike other trade shows and conferences, is invitation only bringing together some of the top experts, developers, leaders, educators, and photographers in digital imaging today. Josh explains some of the highlights of the keynotes and sessions.
In our special report series, Inside Digital Photo will bring you interviews with some of these luminaries over the next few weeks to keep you up to date on the latest news.
Kari Kroeger, PR Manager, Hahnemühle joins host Scott Sheppard for an update on their Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity, Holograms, and Registry system to protect the security and legitimacy of limited edition fine art images. Kari explains how the program works, and some of the key benefits photographers can realize by registering and authenticating their pieces.
The Certificates are sold in packs of 25 formal art certificates and 50 hologram stickers. One sticker is placed on the certificate and the other hologram is placed on the back of the original art piece assuring purchasers and dealers that the work is an original piece of art. Hahnemühle maintains a website http://www.myartregistry.com with full details on the registered image prints that tracks the certificate numbers and can easily be accessed by clients, dealers, and photographers.
Hahnemühle has a 400 year history of manufacturing the finest art papers imaginable. They have been supplying digital fine art papers for over 10 years. For more information on their full line of papers and photo albums visit: http://www.hahnemuehle.com/
