portraFamily.jpgScott DiSabato, Marketing Manager, Professional Film Photographer Trade Relations, Kodak, joins Inside Digital Photo LIVE from Imaging USA 2008 to discuss how their new line of Kodak Professional Portra 400-Speed Films 400 NC & 400 VC and their brand new T-MAX 400. Scott discusses the differences and capabilities of their latest line of professional film designed for a broad range of lighting conditions. Scott also shares some tips on working with film even if you are using a fully digital workflow.

sexton.jpgHear how shooting with film can not only inspire a certain nostalgia but also provide a range of creative possibilities that produce results which can be easily be converted to high-resolution digital images. Scott also explains how digital cameras handle capturing images in black and white, unlike B&W film, digital B&W is taken in color and converted by the algorithms assigned by the camera manufacturer vs. the photographer’s intention. Renowned B&W photographers, such as John Sexton, rely on Kodak’s T-MAX 400 to capture and prepare his images.
