Inside Digital Photo Special Report
Jack Reznicki Part II
Choosing Your Color Space & Camera RAW

Listen NOW…

JackReznickiThis exclusive interview is the third in a series showcasing the passion found within today’s top photographers brought to Inside Digital Photo by Epson. Jack Reznicki, Photographer, President of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), a Canon Explorer of Light, and the leader of the Epson Print Academy team joins host Scott Sheppard and Inside Digital Photo to share his insights into the often complicated topic of color, color space, color gamut and more!

Jack’s informative discussion provides an easy to implement explanation that will help photographers gain confidence in managing their color.

325px_CIExy1931_ProPhoto.pngJack suggests that it’s best to shoot in camera RAW format to get the largest amount of color data on capture and to work in a color space within PhotoShop such as ProPhoto RGB color space or Adobe Wide Gamut RGB color space you will be closer to the actual image data and will have better success when preparing your images for output.

With the technological advances in output devices and enhanced color capabilities of the RGB workflow, it makes sense to prepare your images from the start so that you will not lose critical color as you move through your workflow. Once you have established your workflow around Camera RAW, you will find that the time spent converting from JPEG to RAW format will pay itself back in a short time while maintaining better file, image and color integrity.

Jack and Scott also discuss tips on how to setup your workflow, print dialogue box, and colorsync settings to get the most accurate color for your prints.
