Listen NOW…
Photographers Joseph Cartright and Chris Lynch join host Scott Sheppard to discuss some tips on transitioning from film to a digital workflow and also how to prepare your prints for exhibition. Joseph and Chris are also currently planning for the launch of their seminar tour “Digesting Digital” designed for creative directors, art buyers, and agencies who are responsible for specifying photography for their design and client’s work.
Joseph Cartright is a digital imaging master photographer who specializes in Beauty, Fashion, and Lifestyle and an early adopter of digital imaging technologies. His work in luxury markets requires the highest level of image quality and results so his workflow is about 90% medium-format digital and relies on the software provided with the digital backs to achieve his desired results. His workflow includes P series digital backs from Phase One and their Capture One and Capture One Pro software.
Christopher Lynch, began shooting professionally and experimenting in digital imaging while in still in high school making a name for himself in the music scene. He was contracted by Young & Rubicam to develop one of the first high-end digital photo studios and continues to shoot high-end commercial work tethered using a Hasselblad H2 system even while on location.
His latest project features an exhibition portrait series entitled “The Factory & Friends”- made up of images from members of Andy Warhols Factory in the late 60’s and 70’s. Christopher shares some tips on how he prepared the final printed works on display in a Chelsea, NY gallery.
