Renee Byer - 2007 Pulitzer Prize Winner

Renee Byer, Senior Photojournalist for the Sacramento Bee Newspaper and 2007 Pulitzer Prize winner joins host Scott Sheppard to share the details of her background, work, and inspiration. This April, Renee was awarded the coveted Pulitzer Prize for her feature story called “A Mother’s Journey” that chronicled a year in the life of Cyndie French and her son Derek Madsen who ultimately lost his battle with neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer in May 2006.
