Inside Digital Photo - Pro Tip of the Week

Chuck Westfall on EOS Digital Solutions Software

Listen NOW…

Chuck Westfall, Director/Media & Customer Relationship, Camera Marketing Group - Canon U.S.A., Inc. joins host Scott Sheppard for this week’s tip on using the Digital Solutions Software bundled with the EOS System. Chuck explains the features of Digital Photo Professional v3.2 which is an image organizing, editing, and processing application that allows you to view, process, rename, correct for lens abberations and even backup your images onto another disk. Most photographers are so excited to begin shooting with their new camera that the bundle CD is often overlooked.

Since the applications are developed by Canon to take full advantage of the hardware, Chuck indicates that you will see a difference when using the bundled programs rather than a third-party interface as the RAW conversion algorithms were optimized for the Canon EOS. The full suite includes; EOS Utility, Digital Photo Professional v 3.2 (updates are free), Picture Style Editor, Zoom Browser/Image Browser, and PhotoStitch.
