Bob Krist Part II
Tips on Transitioning from Film to Digital
Listen NOW…
Join us for the fourth program in our series showcasing the passion found within today’s top photographers brought to Inside Digital Photo by Epson. Bob Krist, Travel Photographer, Author, Actor, continues his discussion with host Scott Sheppard for some tips and insight into what it takes to be one of the world’s top travel photographers. In this episode, Bob discusses the equipment he uses while on-location including some tips on how to protect your data and backup your gear while traveling.

Since Bob often shoots in rather exotic remote locations, having redundancy in cameras, flash, disk storage, and image access is critical to ensure he is ready when the images are. An avid Nikon shooter, Bob brings his laptop but also relies on his Epson P3000/P5000 media device to backup his images. He generally doesn’t do much image editing on the road but prefers to fine tune his work when he returns from his trip on his desktop computer.
Bob shares some tips on how he transitioned from film to a digital workflow, how to print great images, and how to set up your shoot and explore new techniques using the digital tools. He also talks about color management and setting up the workflow to get the best result from capture to output.
