Photoshop World 2007 – Ben Willmore & Kevin Ames

Ben recently completed a road trip down Route 66, gathering a series of images some of which are posted on his blog http://www.whereisben.com.

maroonbells1_2.jpgBen and Scott discuss tips and techniques he used to over and under expose his digital images to create some unique artistic effects using HDR (high dynamic range) shooting techniques. Ben shares that in addition to merging the multiple exposures in Photoshop CS3, he creates specialized illustrative effects with a product, Photomatix available at www.hdrsoft.com. Ben will soon be appearing with more tips and recommendations for cool gear in a new series of Inside Digital Photo TV episodes, coming to iTunes very soon!

kevinames1.jpgKevin Ames, Photographer, Author, & Trainer and Inside Digital Photo’s Digital Correspondent joins Scott to talk about the launch of his latest book and support files “The Digital Photographer’s Notebook: A Pro’s Guide to Adobe Photoshop CS3, Lightroom, and Bridge”, a prose guide to Adobe PhotoShop, Lightroom, & Bridge. This book compiles the best of his regular monthly column in Photoshop User Magazine and provides a hands-on guide on how to effectively use these applications in a complete workflow. Kevin shares his experiences and tips on how to get the most of these complimentary programs to improve your overall productivity and digital workflow.

Kevin will also be teaching at Photoshop World 2007 in Las Vegas this week, and also teaching classes at PhotoPlus Expo in New York City, in early October. His classes will focus on portrait photography, lighting, and retouching. Kevin will also be available during Photoshop World to sign copies of his new book and will be participating in their popular portfolio reviews. Kevin and Scott also spend some time discussing Kevin’s experiences with the new line of Canon cameras and other key elements of his workflow equipment.
