Vincent Versace Part IV
Shooting Candid Portraits
Listen NOW…
Join us this week for another edition in our series showcasing the passion found within today’s top photographers brought to Inside Digital Photo by Epson. Vincent Versace, Photographer, Trainer, Author, and one of Nikon’s Legend Behind the Lens joins host Scott Sheppard to discuss some tips about shooting portraits while on location and how to take extraordinary photos of people.
Although Vincent is known for his incredible landscapes and scene photography, he is also an experienced studio and portrait photographer. Whether on assignment or on location, hear his tips for photographers on how to interact with their subjects, ideas for composing your portrait shot, and how to properly approach your subjects and obtain proper permissions and right to use their image.

Vincent’s philosophy is based on natural light photography which means that photographers should do their best to blend with their subjects rather than create an environment that draws attention to themselves which can impact the reaction of the subject. Hear his suggestions on how knowing the culture of the remote country, or current location can make a difference in the overall outcome of the image. Vincent and Scott also talk about choosing the right tools for your desired outcome and discuss some key equipment and accessories which help him get the best results while on remote assignment.
