Profiling your Camera & Choosing the Right Color Space
Listen NOW…
Jack Bingham, Owner Jack Bingham Digital Studio & Partner, Integrated Color Corp. joins host Scott Sheppard to share tips and techniques on profiling your camera. Jack, a studio photographer who is also a renowned color consultant explains the details of how and why to use a tool like Integrated Color’s ColorEyes Camera 20/20. Many experts recommend profiling your monitor and your printer, as profiling your camera can seem a bit tedious, take some time to setup, and are not inherently supported or promoted by major image editing applications.
Jack explains that you only need to profile the camera - once - for the device allowing you to set and control the gamut that can save hours of editing time in the long run. Jack recommends visiting Michael Reichmann’s site The Luminous Landscape ( http://www.luminous-landscape.com/) for key articles on camera and monitor profiling.
