Listen NOW…

Sports Photographer, Peter Read Miller joins host Scott Sheppard for his thoughts about this year’s MS Pro Photo Summit and share some tips on how he has been able to capture some of the most outstanding stills seen in sports today. A staff photographer for Sports Illustrated for the past 20 years, Peter has had over 100 SI covers and 31 Super Bowls. He explains how his in-depth knowledge of the games, events, and routines of his subjects has taught him how to predict timing the perfect shot. Peter also talks about his equipment and workflow including using SI’s proprietary image transfer system that allows them to shoot live events in RAW format and almost instantly transmit .jpg versions to the editorial staff. He is looking forward to spending much of next month in Bejing shooting his eight Olympic Games.

Peter is a Microsoft “Icons of Imaging”, one of the original Canon “Explorers of Light,” and has also been selected for the Kingston Memory “Icons of Photography” programs. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has given Peter the Dave Boss Award of Excellence, Photographer of the Year.
