Phil began this project in 2004, partnering with the CARE organization traveling to remote locations and showcasing extraordinary women helping themselves and inspire change within their communitites. Phil shares his background, project work, and his passion for documenting the welfare of indigenous and tribal people. Phil share some tips and techniques he uses to capture and complete his incredible images, known for their natural light and emotion highlighted through natural/sepia tones. Phil describes how he works with a range of non-profit organizations and other outlets that help him tell the stories seen in his exhibitions and books.
