capturenx2One of the key benefits of using Capture NX2 is the fact that this program integrates Nikon’s RAW conversion algorithms to process the images. Vincent discusses the differences between Capture NX, Lightroom, and Aperture including some tips on the built in NX tools such as control points that expand the editing capabilities of U Point Technology developed by NIK software, and other built-in image correction tools. Vincent also discusses the differences between version 1.0 and 2.0.

In this week’s special report, Greg Newcomb, Epson’s Marketing Coordinator for Image Capture Products joins host Scott Sheppard to discuss the technical details of how to transfer your analog film library into your digital workflow. Greg explains the details of their top of the line Epson Perfection V750-M Pro, the first flatbed scanner capable of 6400 dpi resolution. The scanner utilizes a Dual Lens™ System to optimize each scan and integrates Digital ICE Technologies that automatically remove scratches, dust, and minor surface defects that are huge time savers when batch processing negatives. The V750-M Pro also has a unique fluid mount system that gives further scratch removal and grain reduction for black-and-white film.  

Greg also describes some features and differences among the various models including the Epson Perfection V500 Photo.
