Inside Digital Photo Special Report - Canon EOS Rebel XS

Listen NOW…

Chuck Westfall, Technical Advisor with the Professional Products Marketing Division of the Consumer Imaging Group with Canon U.S.A., Inc. joins host Scott Sheppard for an in-depth look and information of the features available in their Canon EOS Rebel XS, their latest addition to the popular Canon EOS Rebel line.

Chuck and Scott also discuss the differences between this great entry level DSLR vs. the Canon EOS Rebel XSi introduced earlier this year. Chuck explains that not only are professional photographers using these as "backup" cameras as they are fully compatible with the Canon lenses, but he also sees a trend of serious amateurs converting to these models from their higher-end point and shoot models. Changing to a Canon EOS Rebel XS, of course, provides access to their full line of accessories.

Canon also recently released the Speedlite 430EX II, an ideal companion to both the Canon EOS Rebel XS or the Rebel XSi. Chuck explains some of the updates and features that include full flash control possible right from the camera menu, with compatible EOS Digital SLR cameras.

Chuck also explains how users can get up to speed with their new equipment instantly by visiting the Canon Digital Learning Center at: http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc/ This site is an incredible free resource that includes updates, tutorials, profiles, and interviews on the full line of Canon digital imaging products.
