Listen NOW…
Vincent Versace, Photographer, Trainer, Author, and one of Nikon’s “Legend Behind the Lens” joins host Scott Sheppard to discuss his recent field testing experiences in Vietnam and Burma using the Nikon D300. Hear Vincent describe in detail how the unique new features of this camera performed on location including the auto focus, color tracking, and overall capabilities of this high-end digital SLR. They also discuss the matrix metering system and active D lighting and how it impacts the overall range and performance of the camera.
While on location Vincent also shot some digital infrared images with a Nikon D70 & D200 whose standard filters were converted to IR by LifePixel. You can see some of these IR images and the set from the Nikon D300 on Vincent’s Flicker Page at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/15672273@N05/sets/. Vincent also suggests visiting Terry White’s blog to read more about the Nikon D300 at: http://www.terrywhite.com/techblog/ for some other images and further review.
Vincent and Scott also discuss his experiences beta testing the new line of Epson’s Signature Worthy Exhibition Fiber Paper. Vincent explains how the paper’s ability to reproduce intricate details in the “black areas” of his images produced some amazing fine art prints. Vincent also gives an update on his latest training videos from Acme Educational that will soon be released with support and titles featuring himself, John Paul Caponigro, R. Mac Holbert, and Lee Varis’ new set “Beyond Skin: Going Deeper with CS3”.
